Back to Gatcombe yesterday with MERE OAK and DASSETTS COURAGE, both had done good tests on Friday to leave them in 13th and 9th place respectively.
DASSETTS COURAGE jumped really well but had a slight 'green' moment coming into the treble and forgot to bend his front legs, so he added 4 faults to his 47.3 dressage.
He absolutely flew around the xc which is great as it was his first CIC*. He finished with 3.6 time faults and ended up in 17th place.
MERE OAK was first to go in the CIC** and he jumped a faultless round of showjumping and follwed that up with a fast clear xc... adding just 2.8 time faults (only one made the time)finishing in 5th place in a very competitive section!
Both these boys are now heading to Osberton for their final run of the year. DASSETTS COURAGE for the 6yo championships and MERE OAK for the CCI**.
