I always
seem to be apologizing for the delay in writing my blog – but life is so busy
at the moment I am always behind with office chores – sorry.
As you may
have seen I am looking to syndicate my top horse Rayef – sadly the owner wants
to sell him and I am desperate to keep the ride so am looking for 20 people to
come and join the fun here at Team Collett with him. Click here for more info
The
syndicate will be a lot of fun and hopefully we will win some points and prizes
on the way.
Kauto Star
has caused a bit of a stir with his arrival on the yard but he is settling in
well and seems to be coming to grips with dressage really well. We are featured in a lot of articles at the
moment – some are here if you have not caught up with them all yet
The
eventers are really stepping up their work levels now ahead of the season. This dreaded snow stops us getting out and
about so much but at least we have an indoor school so they have been worked
every day through the worst of it. I
have the added bonus of more lessons with Yogi too! Some of his teaching and coaching sessions
elsewhere have been cancelled due to the weather and he does not do days off
really so he has been here much more often! Lucky me! Everything is now well prepared for the
season when it eventually starts.
World class
training was downgraded from riding to unmouinted earlier this week but it was
still a really worthwhile course – we had sessions with physio, media, vet, and psychologist
I have been
working on the event plan for each horse carefully working my way through the
schedule and plotting the right events at the right time to ensure they peak at
their three day targets. It is hard to
believe that the first events of the season are now open for entries with snow
on the ground still.
Badminton
obviously is the target for Rayef and Nobel Bestman.
We have
Junior team training at the yard this weekend – so it is pretty busy
Will try
harder to do my blog more regularly!
Until next
time
Laura
